TanzQuelle is a Munich initiative that strengthens the community of dancers and choreographers through a regular meeting place. It promotes a lively, collaborative scene and offers a contact point for all dancers in the city in order to make their potential and talents recognizable, to train them further and to network them nationwide. TanzQuelle creates space for joint research, intensive exchange and artistic development. It also offers training exchanges and research projects. For years, it has regularly collaborated with other actors in the city in order to offer the broadest possible range of activities. The initiative was created in response to the Munich dance scene’s urgent need for further training and exchange. TanzQuelle is implemented and coordinated by David N. Russo, Laura Manz and the Rat & Tat Kulturbüro; the initiative is still in the founding phase of a gUG. The project receives long-term individual funding from the Cultural Department of the City of Munich.
